There have been some exciting developments in the Breakfast Program this fall. The Washtenaw County Health Department issued an upgraded health license for our commercial kitchen in October. This new license allows us to expand our menu. We have started serving sausage, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes with fresh blueberries, scrambled eggs, French toast, and deli meats and cheese for sandwiches to go. Future plans include breakfast casseroles and breakfast burritos. We are even considering adding a homemade soup and chili station in the winter. It may not be traditional breakfast food, but it will be warm and comforting (and full of protein and fresh vegetables).
